Kossuth defeats Belmont for Class 3A girls championship

The Lady Aggies won their first state title.

JACKSON, Miss. (WTVA) - Zoe Essary scored a game-high 20 points as Kossuth defeated Belmont 48-44 on Saturday to win the MHSAA Class 3A girls championship.

Morgan Hodum added 16 points for Kossuth (25-7), which rallied from a 13-point fourth quarter deficit to win its first state title.

Belmont (25-9) was led by Macie Walker's thirteen points.
