OXFORD, Miss. (WTVA) - Police say a Kosciusko man assaulted an Uber driver in Oxford.
According to the Oxford Police Department, 23-year-old Samuel Hudson surrendered himself to police on Jan. 12.
Investigators charged him with felony malicious mischief.
His arrest stemmed from the alleged assault that happened on Oct. 25, 2020, on East Jackson Avenue.
The Uber driver claimed the customer who requested the Uber ride assaulted him.
Police say the assailant also damaged the driver’s phone while he tried to call the police and damaged the driver’s vehicle.
A Lafayette County judge gave Hudson a $2,500 bond.
