AMORY, Miss. (WTVA) -- An escapee from a Kentucky jail is back behind bars after he was arrested in Monroe County.
Amory police announced on Facebook the capture of James Worner, 43, at a hotel in the city.
Kentucky State Police says Worner escapced from the Larue County Jail on Friday.
The Amory post said they received information he was at the hotel and the Special Response Team responded.
The police statement says he was taken into custody peacefully before he could follow through with violent intentions he told family and friends he would use.
Worner is currently being held in the Monroe County jail awaiting extradition to Kentucky.
