UPDATE: Injuries reported in Itawamba County wreck

Update 10/15/18 9:55 a.m.

According to the Mississippi Highway Patrol, it appears Wanda Shaw, 49, of Mantachie, attempted to turn her vehicle onto Indian Drive off of Highway 25 when she pulled into the path of a northbound truck, driven by Wilbern Hathcock, 71, of Greenwood Springs.

Cpl. Jason Roe with MHP says Hathcock was transported by an ambulance to North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo with moderate injuries.

Shaw and two children were transported by personal vehicle to the same hospital for her injuries.

ITAWAMBA COUNTY, Miss. (WTVA) - Two people have been taken to the hospital following a two-vehicle wreck in front of the Itawamba Agricultural High School Monday morning, Sheriff Chris Dickinson said.

It happened around 6:15 a.m., according to the sheriff. Mississippi Highway Patrol worked the crash.

The cause is unknown at this time.
