WEST POINT, Miss. (WTVA) - Investigators are asking for any information on a recent homicide in West Point.
West Point Police are investigating the shooting death of Jamel Banks, 40. The West Point man was killed the night of Nov. 25 on Lowe Street.
The cause of death was from multiple gunshot wounds, Clay County Coroner Alvin Carter Jr. said.
Two days after the shooting, Police Chief Avery Cook said he did not believe robbery to be a motive in the shooting.

He said Banks was found with money in his pockets at the time of his death.

A reward up to $5,000 is being offered for information leading to the arrest of the person or persons responsible.
