BENTON COUNTY, Miss. (WTVA) - A man from Benton County was injured after his vehicle hit ice.

Cpl. Jason Roe with the Mississippi Highway Patrol says troopers responded Wednesday at approximately 12:40 p.m. to Highway 72, near Highway 5.

Troopers say Carl Robinson, 42, of Lamar, was driving east on Highway 72 and was slowing to turn onto Highway 5 when he hit the ice.

He lost control of his vehicle and collided into an eastbound truck driven by Troy Franklin, 43, of Cherokee, Alabama.

Roe says Robinson received moderate injuries.

Franklin was not injured.
