HOUSTON, Miss. (WTVA) - Houston High School’s principal will become the school district’s next superintendent.
During Tuesday’s school board meeting, the Board of Trustees named John Ellison the new superintendent of the Houston School District.
He’ll replace current superintendent Tony Cook who will retire following the end of the fall semester.

Ellison previously served as a teacher, coach and principal at Houston Upper and Middle schools.
