BELMONT, Miss. (WTVA) - The owner of a convenience store in Belmont is helping others in his community as they recover from a devastating tornado.
WTVA’s new special “Hometown Heroes” recognizes people who are going above and beyond to help others.
Trevor Hall was nominated by another viewer to be this week’s Hometown Hero. WTVA caught up with him and learned how his store is impacting Tishomingo County.
Hall, 26, and his sister bought the Chevron station on Highway 25 in February, a month before a tornado swept through Tishomingo County on Tuesday. The twister left behind major damage.
Since then, Hall and his crew have been donating pizzas and other foods to local businesses in town.
He said they just wanted to help their community.
