VERONA, Miss. (WTVA) - It's time again for spring cleaning and this weekend is the perfect opportunity to get rid of
some things that can't be thrown out with the usual trash.
Last year, because of the pandemic, there was no Hazardous Waste Day so this year, workers are
expecting to see a lot of trash.

Three Rivers is holding its Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day this Saturday at the Lee County Agri-center. It's open to all residents in Lee and surrounding counties.
Workers will be on hand collecting home and automobile chemicals, old electronics, cleaners, tires and even air conditioners.
The gates open at the Agri-center in Verona at 8 am and the collection continues until 3 pm.
A second Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day takes place next weekend in Oxford at the Lafayette County Multipurpose Arena.
The Golden Triangle Regional Solid Waste Authority is also holding its Hazardous Waste Day this Saturday.
If you live in Oktibbeha, Lowndes or Clay County, go to the GTR Landfill off Highway 45-Alternate on Old West Point Road, workers will be on hand from 9 am until 2 pm.
