GRENADA, Miss. (WTVA) - The city of Grenada has decided on whether or not to adopt a previously proposed sports tax.
Residents Tuesday voted in favor of the tax by nearly 86 percent, with just over 14 percent voting against the tax.
The tax will add an additional 1 percent to restaurant and hotel bills to finance the construction of a suggested sports complex.
The complex would host baseball, soccer, football, basketball and other sports.
