COLUMBUS, Miss. (WTVA) - The Golden Triangle Regional Airport is adding an additional flight and expanding its existing facility.
The new early afternoon flight will begin flying on June 8.
All four flights will continue to run on holidays.
The airport currently flies to Atlanta through Delta Airlines. The improvements are due to a high-flight capacity percentage in 2018.
Flight consultants predict this is the beginning of growth for the airport.
"Getting an extra flight doesn't happen for this small of an airport," said Executive Director Mike Hainsey.
