PONTOTOC, Miss. (WTVA) - The Behold-Washington Furniture company hosted a groundbreaking event on Tuesday to commemorate its new 400,000-square-foot warehouse.
One of the warehouses was destroyed in a fire in September 2018.
"It was setback no question,” CEO Lyle Harris said. “It was a punch, but we were determined that this would have a positive outcome even though it was a major setback for the company."
The new building is up, but work is not done yet.
Harris said they were determined to keep Washington in Pontotoc.
The investigation is still ongoing into the fire.
A cash reward is being offered to anyone who can give information that would lead to an arrest.
"It would be nice to see someone have to pay up for the crime that they actually committed,” Pontotoc Fire Chief Lance Martin said. “It was not just a furniture business, it was on every person who worked here and the entire county."
Anyone with information is encouraged to reach out to the Pontotoc Police Department.
