STARKVILLE, Miss. (WTVA) - A former Starkville middle school teacher has been indicted for child exploitation for the crimes he allegedly committed back in January.
Lacey McBeath, 38, of Columbus, was indicted for enticement of a child by an Oktibbeha County grand jury, according to District Attorney Scott Colom.
In January, Starkville police with help from the U.S. Marshals arrested McBeath on warrants for the enticement of a child to meet for sexual purposes and the enticement of a child to produce a visual depiction of sexual conduct. He was later released on a $50,000 bond.
The Starkville-Oktibbeha Consolidated School District confirmed McBeath worked at Armstrong Middle School and he is no longer an employee of the district.
