UNION COUNTY, Miss. (WTVA) - Roads filled with water in Union County was a sight many saw Wednesday, leaving drivers to navigate as best they could.
"I had to drive through that, man, to get to work," said Sandars Johnson. "My car was going everywhere. I'm sliding off the road and stuff. I'm just happy I didn't see anybody get hurt personally."
WTVA spoke with one student who went out of his way to look for people who needed help.
"I've just been riding roads and most of them have been flooded," said Sam Murry. "So I've just been trying to help people."
Those who live in the area are cautioning drivers.
"Don't try to speed through nothing, because if you're speeding through lights, anything could happen. So, I take my time."
