Electric work to force power outage for some residents in north Tupelo

Some residents who live in north Tupelo will be without power Wednesday morning.

TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) - Some residents who live in north Tupelo will be without power Wednesday morning.

Crews with Tombigbee Electric Power Association will work on electric lines at the intersection of Mt. Vernon Road and Barnes Crossing Road.

The work is scheduled to take place from 8:30 a.m. to noon and the power outage is expected to last the entire time.

The outage will affect residents who live in areas surrounding Interstate 22, Highway 178 and the Natchez Trace Parkway.

Drivers may encounter brief traffic delays along and at the intersection of Barnes Crossing Road and Mt. Vernon Road.
