ONROE COUNTY, Miss (WTVA) -- It's been a busy pandemic for the Monroe County Sheriff's Office.
On Thursday, Sheriff Kevin Crook said deputies and narcotics officers made over sixty arrests since the start of the outbreak.
Crook said officers also seized a large amount of narcotics during the arrests including a six-pound bag of high quality methamphetamine known as "ice".
In a news release this week, Sheriff Crook said he is hopeful the state will approve the county's inter-local agreement pending with the North Mississippi Narcotics Unit before the end of the month.
