Drug investigation leads to arrests in Tupelo

An investigation into reported drug activity in a south Tupelo neighborhood led to two arrests.

TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) - An investigation into reported drug activity in a south Tupelo neighborhood led to two arrests.

Police said Octavious Fields and Denarvis Ruff were arrested on Robert Kennedy Drive in Haven Acres on Friday, Feb. 22.

Investigators, including SWAT members from the police department and Lee County Sheriff's Department, went to two homes with search warrants and made the arrests.

Ruff is charged with possession of cocaine and marijuana with intent and trafficking of hydrocodone. His bond was set at $15,000.

Fields is charged with felony possession of methamphetamine and also had four warrants for sale of methamphetamine served at the time of his arrest.

His bond was set at $100,000.
