TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) - A police chase through the city of Tupelo ended with one man arrested Wednesday evening.
The Assistant Police Chief with the Tupelo Police Department said officers first tried to make a traffic stop for a tint violation.
However, the driver of the vehicle did not stop and led officers on a chase that lasted nearly 30 minutes.
Assistant Chief Jackie Clayton said officers stopped the vehicle using spike strips on Maynard, across from Walmart on West Main Street.
Clayton said speeds during the chase reached to about 35 to 40 miles-per-hour.
Right now, the identity of the driver arrested has not been released.
