COLUMBUS, Miss. (WTVA) - A driver from Steens is charged with DUI after crashing into a Columbus Police officer's patrol car.
The incident happened Tuesday night in Columbus at the intersection of Yorkville Road and Highway 69.

The Police car was stopped in traffic when a Chevrolet car collided with its rear. Both cars were traveling in the same direction and in the same lane.
The driver of the Chevrolet had a blood-alcohol level four times the legal limit, according to a Columbus city spokesman.
The driver of the Chevrolet, 39-year-old Terrence Brock, was taken to the local hospital and later booked into the Lowndes County jail.
The unnamed Police officer was treated, released and has since returned to work.
