Driver expected to be okay after Lowndes car-truck crash

No one was seriously hurt when a train crashed into a car Wednesday southeast of Columbus.

LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WTVA) — A train crashed into a car Wednesday southeast of Columbus.

The accident happened at the railroad crossing on Hughes Road near Frisco Road.

A member of a road crew said the driver did not hear the train coming.

The car's driver is expected to be okay, according to the road crew.
