Drive-by shooting wounds 2 children in Winston County

The drive-by shooting happened in Winston County and wounded two children, ages 12 and 13.

LOUISVILLE, Miss. (WTVA) - A Thursday drive-by shooting in Winston County wounded two children.

The shooting happened at approximately 8:30 on Goss Road, according to Winston County Chief Deputy Keith Alexander.

One child is 12 years old. The other child is 13 years old.

Alexander said both children are at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson.

He also confirmed two people are in custody.

More arrests are expected to be made in the investigation.

Sheriff Jason Pugh later confirmed investigators identified the car that was involved in the shooting.

Investigators are working to identify the motive for the shooting.
