TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) - The annual "Dance Like The Stars" event was held virtually Saturday night and viewed online by more than 4,000 people.
The event raised over $259,000 for the Boys and Girls Clubs of North Mississippi.
This year, seven local celebrities were paired were a dance professional from The Dance Studio of Tupelo to lean a dance routine.
Lisa Settlemires of Ripley, won Grand Champion by raising $54,608.
Lisa Chaney, representing Tupelo came in second place for fundraising with $54,265 and Oxford’s Pastor Eddie Rester raised $46,638 to take third place.
Dancers were also judged and awarded based on their dancing performance.
Judges awarded the first place Judges’ Choice award to Keri McMillin of Tupelo.
Second place in the Judges’ Choice category went to Jacuana Sykes of Tupelo and Eddie Rester of Oxford came in third.
This year, Celebrity Dancers included, Pastor Eddie Rester (Oxford), Kimberly Langley (New Albany), Lisa Settlemires (Ripley), Keri McMillin, Lindsey Chaney, Dr. Gabe Rulewicz, Jacuana Sykes (Tupelo).
The Boys and Girls Club ballroom Dance Team also performed Saturday night.
