CORINTH, Miss. (WTVA) -- Corinth police charged three people with capital murder and are looking for a fourth in connection with the death of a man in 2017.
Captain Dell Green says Sharmarick Payne, 24, was found dead in his home on Glover Drive on April 17, 2017.
Recent information in the case lead to the arrest of Antonio Reyes, 29, Ricky "Steven" Patterson, 26 and Zachariah Tays, 27, all of Corinth.
All three are charged with capital murder. Green says Payne has been shot in the back of the head and the house had been ransacked. He says investigators believe the motive was robbery.
He says following recent arrests Reyes and Patterson on unrelated charges, the two admitted to being at the Glover Street home when Payne was shot.
Green said Tays was contacted by investigators to come in for questioning and also admitted to being the house.
He says investigators consider Patterson to be the person responsible for shooting Payne.
Green says they have issued a warrant for Sanchez Sorrell, 23, who is currently out of state.
