TUPELO, Miss./FINDLAY, Ohio (WTVA) -- Cooper Tire plans to add 100 new jobs to its Tupelo manufacturing plant.
The company sent a news release this morning saying the jobs would be filled immediately.
Tupelo plant manager Jeff Kamm says the jobs are needed to meet demand for the tires made in the All-America City.
Kamm says starting salaries of $15.46 to $16.46 per hour, including a $2000 bonus during the first year of work.
He says you must have a high school diploma or GED and be 18 years or older.
Cooper Tire is holding a job fair September 24 from 10 a.m. til 6 p.m. at the BancorpSouth Arena in Tupelo.
The Tupelo plant produces passenger car, crossover vehicle, sport utility vehicle and pickup truck tires.
The plant also produces original equipment tires for select new vehicles, including the Mercedes-Benz GLS and GLE.
