CARROLLTON, Ala. (WTVA) - Pickens County has been working to clean and clear roads of storm debris after a tornado swept through the area week ago.
Three people died near Carrollton on Saturday, the National Weather Service in Birmingham confirmed.
Workers are using dump trucks and other heavy machinery to clean. Carrollton Mayor Mickey Walker said power has been restored. He said the next step is to get residents back into their homes.
The Mississippi Emergency Management Agency, Federal Emergency Management Agency, the Red Cross, county and city officials created a committee to help storm victims.
