A home surveillance camera captured the incident, and Columbus police released the video recording to the media in hopes of identifying the burglars.

In the video, a man is seen wearing a T-shirt, cargo shorts, white Adidas shoes, and he has a brace wrapped around his lower arm.

Another person’s silhouette can be seen in the background.

Columbus Police Chief Fred Shelton says the burglars arrived and left on bicycles.

"We believe these two people went to six locations on the north side of town and simply checked for open car doors," Shelton said. "They didn't break windows or pry open doors since that makes sounds, and they just wanted to get in and out quickly. We had six reports that morning, and we believe this is the same two people since they were in the same area."

Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-530-7151.
