Columbus police charge three men with armed robbery

Three Columbus men face criminal charges in connection to an armed robbery that happened on July 9.

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WTVA) - Columbus police arrested three men in connection to an armed robbery that recently happened.

Police identified the three suspects as Terrius Armistad, 18; Kajarius Anderson, 21; and Devin Tate, 21. All are from Columbus.

Police Chief Fred Shelton said the armed robbery happened on July 9 at a house in Byrnes Circle in Columbus.

He said the robbery was not random, and the suspects knew the victims.

The incident started when a victim let the suspects into the locked house, Shelton said. Once inside, the suspects robbed the victims of a small amount of cash and other items.

Police charged Armistad with two counts of armed robbery.

They charged Anderson with armed robbery, aggravated assault and shooting into a vehicle.

Police charged Tate with two counts of armed robbery.
