COLUMBUS, Miss. (WTVA) - A Columbus man is accused of kicking in the door to a girlfriend’s house.
Kelvin Barksdale Smith, 40, was arrested Sunday, Jan. 13, and charged with aggravated domestic violence.
Columbus police say Smith and the woman, whom he had been dating, had several previous arguments before this incident.
Police say they had already been at the house earlier that day answering a disturbance call.
When police arrived, they found Smith inside the house.
He admitted to kicking in the door, but says he was attempting to repair the damage, confirmed police.
