COLUMBUS, Miss. (WTVA) - Authorities in Columbus arrested a man in connection with two burglaries, and an armed robbery on the Mississippi University for Women campus.

Dominico Saddler, 33, is charged with armed robbery and two counts of burglary, and is being held in the Lowndes County Adult Detention Center.

Saddler is accused of robbing a staff member outside Fant Hall on the MUW campus on December 13, 2017. He was identified from security footage, according to officials.

Saddler is also accused of breaking into a commercial building, cars, and a home in separate incidents in February 2018.

Police said officers were serving a warrant for breaking into a car when Saddler ran from a police officer and broke into a home. He was captured by police and the resident.

Bond for the burglary charge was set at $75,000. Bond for the armed robbery charge has not yet been set.

MUW President Jim Borsig said, “I appreciate the interagency collaboration between the Columbus Police Department, the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office and the MUW Police Department. The good work by all three agencies led to this arrest.”
