Chickasaw County wreck left one person dead

A two-vehicle crash left one person dead in Chickasaw County.

CHICKASAW COUNTY, Miss. (WTVA) - A two-vehicle crash left one person dead in Chickasaw County today.

The driver of a 2006 red Ford Free was heading south on MS 15 when her vehicle crashed into the rear of a 2002 Cadillac.

The Ford came to a stop on the northbound shoulder.

The Cadillac ran off the road and overturned, ejecting the passenger. The Chickasaw County coroner pronounced Charles Wofford, 54, dead at the scene.

The driver of the Cadillac was airlifted to North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.

Mississippi Highway Patrol is still investigating the crash.
