BOONEVILLE, Miss. (WTVA) - Northeast Mississippi Community College has been named the Magnolia State's best junior college in preparing graduates for the workforce.
The honor comes from career website ZIPPIA.
The website's findings come from using the Department of Education's College Scoreboard data and data from the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System.
"Currently, there are approximately 40,000 jobs open in our state, most of which people with only a high school diploma simply aren't qualified to fill," said NEMCC President Ricky Ford. "We are committed to producing graduates that leave our classrooms more than ready to take those jobs and be successful."
