NEW ALBANY, Miss. (WTVA) - One local company is working hard to make products that are good for the body and bad for the coronavirus.
Magnolia Soap and Bath Co. in New Albany is continuing hand make plant-based products in the midst of this pandemic.
“We’re considered an essential business because we’re still providing and manufacturing sanitation and hygiene products. We're providing for several nursing homes, doctors' offices, trucking companies and police forces”, Magen Bynum said.
Bynum is the owner of Magnolia Soap and Bath Co. who began the business 4 years ago. Currently, there are 5 locations across the state and several locations outside of Mississippi in the works.
The company has a variety of products ranging from bath bombs to pet care. Recently, they added a new product to the list, hand sanitizer, which has been flying off the shelves.
“We’ve done about 6 thousand of these in two weeks. We're waiting on more containers to come in and we’ll distribute those when they arrive”, Bynum said.
