A Booneville man is accused of stealing batteries from a home construction site.

WHEELER, Miss. (WTVA) - A Booneville man is accused of stealing batteries from a home construction site.

On Saturday, Feb. 16, Prentiss County sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a burglary at a location on County Road 5011.

The victims said someone stole batteries from several pieces of equipment on site.

“Substantial damage” was done to some equipment, said Sheriff Randy Tolar.

Later that day, the suspect was located at a residence on County Road 5111.

Tolar identified the suspect as Russell Hutcheson, Jr.

Deputies also recovered four batteries.

Hutcheson, 37, is charged with burglary, malicious mischief, petty larceny, and trespassing.
