Body found in Tippah County

The body found in Tippah County Saturday afternoon is believed to be a missing man from Ripley

RIPLEY, Miss. (WTVA) - Authorities in Tippah County discovered a body Saturday afternoon.

The body was found off of Highway 15 in Ripley.

Tippah County Coroner Chris McCallister says they believe it is the body of David Rust, of Ripley, who has been missing since December 8.

McCallister said the body will be sent for an autopsy next week and they hope to know more when results are in. No visible trauma was seen on the body.
