BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WTVA) - The police chief of Birmingham is appealing to the public to help find a missing 3-year-old girl.

Police Chief Patrick Smith spoke before the media Tuesday at noon following the abduction of Kamille McKinney on Saturday.

An Amber Alert was issued after she disappeared from a birthday party.

Smith said police are still feverishly investigating and hopes someone in the community who has knowledge of McKinney’s disappearance will come forward with information.

Birmingham Police still have two persons of interest in custody; however, no charges have been filed at this time.

Tuesday morning, Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey officially offered a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible in the kidnapping.

During Tuesday’s press conference, Smith said a private citizen is offering an additional $1,000 reward.

Authorities in Alabama said the search for McKinney has been expanded to include surrounding states.

McKinney is 3 feet tall, weighs 60 pounds and has brown eyes and black hair, according to the Amber Alert.

She was last seen wearing a pink T-shirt with a Minnie Mouse leopard print design, leopard print shorts and yellow, white and blue hair bows, the alert said.
