MONROE COUNTY, Miss (WTVA)- A man and woman are sitting behind bars after being accused of possessing 40 grams of pure methamphetamine.
Randy Hathcock and Tammy Carter were arrested Saturday morning at Hathcock's home in Smithville.
According to Monroe County Sheriff Cecil Cantrell, they found 17 high-powered rifles and handguns, along with the 40 grams of
Hathcock and Carter are charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell.
"If you sell drugs in Monroe County, we will be knocking on your door and you won't know when we are coming," said Cantrell.
Deputies are still investigating if Hathcock and Carter had the 17 guns legally.
No bond has been set yet.
