MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP/WTVA) — President Donald Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden have easily won their party's presidential primaries in Alabama.
And former football coach Tommy Tuberville has forced former U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions into a runoff for the Republican U.S. Senate nomination.
Tuberville led Sessions as the two advanced out of a seven-person field in the GOP primary Tuesday.
Alabama voters also defeated a proposal to abolish the elected, eight-member state school board and replace it with an appointed commission.
In Lamar County, incumbent Jeff Long won the Republican primary for County Commissioner District 4 over Floyd McCrary.
