Batesville woman charged with possession of stolen gun

Oxford police arrest a woman for possessing of a stolen firearm.

OXFORD, Miss. (WTVA) - Oxford police arrest a woman for possessing of a stolen firearm.

On Saturday, May 19, Oxford police arrested Tracie Ellis, 27, of Batesville.

Before her arrest, officers stopped a vehicle on Highway 278 in which Ellis was in the front passenger seat.

During the stop, officers discovered the stolen firearm in Ellis' possession. She was taken into custody and taken to the Lafayette County jail.
