No injuries in New Albany house fire

Firefighters were on the scene of an early morning house fire on Rolling Hills Drive.

NEW ALBANY, Miss. (WTVA) - Firefighters were on the scene of an early morning house fire on Rolling Hills Drive.

There were no injuries to report in this fire, according to New Albany Fire Chief Steve Coker. 

Firefighters arrived on scene shortly before 2 a.m.

Coker said the homeowners were home at the time of the fire, but they were able to get out before flames overtook the home.

The fire started in the kitchen, according to the homeowner and witnesses; however, the cause remains under investigation. 

The home is considered a total loss.
