Law enforcement search for escaped inmate

Eugene Robinson escaped from a regional facility in George County

GEORGE COUNTY, Miss. (WTVA) - Authorities are searching for Eugene Robinson who they say escaped from a regional facility in George County around 7:00 Saturday night.

Robinson was able to get away in a champagne-colored 2000 GMC Sonoma truck he stole from an officer at the George County  Correctional Facility. The truck has a Greene County tag on it with the license plate number GR7315.

Robinson is convicted of armed robbery in Choctaw County and burglary in Oktibbeha County and is serving 30 years.
