Tupelo, Miss. (WTVA) - In Tupelo, the annual "7 Days for the Troops" event is underway.
This year might look a little bit different than before.
Scott Burns, the Founder of "7 Days for the Troops" is raising money for Purple Heart Homes by staying in a 20 foot tower in the parking lot of the mall at Barnes Crossing.
Burns started his stay on Sunday.
In his 14 years of holding the fundraiser, the event has raised tens of thousands of dollars for American Service Members and Veteran's Programs.
" There are a lot of veterans that have come back from active military duties that have gotten injuries and needing the handiclapped acceptable housing and the great thing about Purple Heart Homes, they will help a veteran from from World War II to current," explained Burns.
You still have time to stop by the tower and donate until Saturday.
You can also donate by testing PHH to 26989.
