Missing boys from Arizona located in Louisiana

BIENVILLE PARISH, La. (WTVA) - Two missing children from Arizona have been located and are safe.

According to the Louisiana State Police, troopers made a traffic stop at approximately 1 a.m. Wednesday in Bienville Parish, Louisiana.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety released these images of Melissa Gladden and Jerry Kirkley.

Bienville Parish is located in northwest Louisiana.

Troopers found the two children, identified as Blaze Kirkley, 2, and 4-month-old Ryder Kirkley.

Their non-custodial parents were holding them.

The parents, Jerry Kirkley and Melissa Gladden, both 34, were taken into custody and the children were recovered safely.

An amber alert was issued for the boys on Tuesday.

According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the boys were taken by their parents from the Arizona Department of Child Safety Tuesday morning.

The Florence Police Department in Arizona believed they were traveling with the children to either Mississippi or Louisiana.
