COLUMBUS, Miss. (WTVA) - Airbus Helicopters, Inc. held a job fair on Tuesday to potentially fill 40 open positions.
The job fair was from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Airbus assembly plant in Columbus.
The company said they're seeking to fill positions of experienced aircraft technicians, quality assurance inspectors, avionics and project engineers.
Airbus spokesperson Mike Spears said they hope to gain more employees within the next 90 days. He also says the hiring event is important.
"The demand is still high and we need to meet all of our customers' expectations."
Airbus has operated in the Golden Triangle since 2003.
In Columbus, Airbus manufactures the UH-72A Lakota for the U.S. Army and the H125 commercial helicopter.
The Columbus plant employs more than 200 people, and the company says more than 40 percent of them are military veterans.
