BOONEVILLE, Miss. (WTVA) - State education leaders continued their tour of visiting A-rated school districts.
Since September, when the Mississippi Department of Education released letter grades for the 2018-19 school year, state education leaders have been making the rounds across the state.
State Superintendent of Education Dr. Carey Wright has been visiting A-rated schools across the state.
State Superintendent of Education Dr. Carey Wright made visits to Alcorn, Tishomingo County and Booneville schools on Wednesday.
Students and staff members of the Booneville School District celebrated their accomplishments inside the high school gym.
Wright will visit Lafayette County and Oxford schools on Thursday.
Visits were previously made to Union County, Pontotoc City, New Albany, Lowndes County and Amory schools.
Ten school districts in the WTVA viewing area were awarded an “A” grade.
