College student from Belden awarded Rhodes Scholarship

Millsaps College Student awarded Rhodes Scholarship

JACKSON, Miss. (WTVA) - A Millsaps College student from Belden, MS is awarded a Rhodes Scholarship.

Senior Noah Barbieri can now say he is one of 95 students worldwide awarded a Rhodes Scholarship.

Noah is also one of 62 Truman Scholars nationwide this year. He is a triple major in economics, mathematics, and philosophy at Millsaps College.

Noah plans to use his Rhodes Scholarship to pursue a Masters in Economics at the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom. He then plans to pursue a Masters in Public Policy at Harvard using his Truman Scholarship.

He ultimately wants to return to Mississippi and work to address the problems the state faces.
