OKOLONA, Miss. (WTVA) - Multiple people were hospitalized after a 67-year-old man intentionally ran his car into an Okolona building, according to Police Chief Tommie Ivy.
Five victims were sent to the hospital after the incident was reported sometime near 1 a.m. on Academy Street, police said.
Ivy says Willie Pulphus was ready to leave a party and grew impatient with his girlfriend when she would not leave with him.
The suspect is charged with five counts of aggravated assault with a vehicle.
According to police, Pulphus was found to be under-the-influence and told police he did not remember what he had done Sunday morning.
