JACKSON, Miss. (WTVA) - The Mississippi State Department of Health reported 4,807 more COVID cases and 21 more deaths in Thursday morning's report.
Fourteen deaths occurred between Aug. 7-18 in Alcorn, Choctaw, Desoto, Forrest (3), Harrison, Hinds (3), Lowndes, Madison, Rankin and Tunica counties.
Seven deaths occurred between Nov. 26, 2020, and Aug. 12, identified from death certificates, in Hinds (2), Jackson, Pearl River, Stone and Yalobusha (2) counties.
Since the onset of the pandemic in Mississippi in March 2020, the MSDH has reported 401,201 total cases and 7,937 total deaths.
During the same time period, the MSDH has reported 336,849 presumed recoveries.
