CORINTH, Miss. (WTVA) – Three Corinth Middle School students face criminal charges after three other students were attacked Monday.

Corinth Police Chief Ralph Dance says the students, ages 13, 14 and 15, ambushed three other students in a hallway.

One of the victims of the attack was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Dance says the investigation is ongoing but appears to be a personal attack and not gang-related.

One of the teenagers is charged with aggravated assault. The other two are charged with simple assault.

The case is being handled by Alcorn County Youth Court.
