Three charged in Booneville shooting

Police have arrested three people in connection to an early Friday shooting.

BOONEVILLE, Miss. (WTVA) - Police have arrested three people in connection to an early Friday shooting, according to Police Chief Michael Ramey.

Booneville police were called to Baptist Memorial Hospital for a gunshot victim just before 5 a.m. Friday. A man had been shot in his neck and was later taken to a Memphis hospital.

The shooting happened in the 100 block of Ledbetter Street.

Police believe the actual shooter is Kyson R. Barnes, 16, who will be charged as an adult. He faces one count of aggravated assault with a weapon. His bond was set at $50,000.

Kristen Dunlap, 24, is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Bond was set at $25,000.

Carson Rogers, 27, is charged with accessory after the fact of an aggravated assault and bond set at $25,000.

They are all being held in the Prentiss County Justice Center.

The victim is listed in stable condition.
