UPDATE: Missing Union County man found safe in AL

A missing man from Union County has been found safe in Alabama.

BLUE SPRINGS, Miss. (WTVA) - A missing man from Union County has been found safe in Alabama.

Union County Sheriff Jimmy Edwards says Douglas Randy Panell, 73, was found in Tuscumbia, Ala., Monday.

A family member says Panell is safe. 

The Silver Alert was issued for him Monday morning by the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation.

BLUE SPRINGS, Miss. (WTVA) - A Silver Alert has been issued for a 73-year-old Blue Springs man.

The alert is for Douglas Randy Panell. He is described as a white man, 6'1" in height, weighing 210 pounds with white hair and blue eyes.

He was last seen around noon on Sunday, October 22 in the 1000 block of County Road 265.

He was driving a black 2017 Nissan Frontier four-wheel-drive pick-up truck. 

Family members say Panell suffers from a medical condition that may impair his judgment.
